I don't know if anyone is going to be able to help me on this one because I cannot remember very much about it.

Here goes:

1) white dance band
2) I believe it is in the early to mid-90s but it could be in the late 80s
3) virtually everyone would recognize it so it is not an obscure tune
4) lots of MTV airplay of the dance video
5) as far as the lyrics: "slide to the side" or "step to the side" or
"move to the side" and also possibly: "step up"
6) great dance rhythm

I know it's not much. Any help would be appreciated. I've already tried all sorts of searches on Google and lyrics web sites with no luck.
