Gail Davies is the name of the singer. She wrote the song in honor of her Grandmother, who used to sing the hunting song ("Come a loo, come a loo, come a high low, come down the merry stream...")

The name of the song is "Grandma's Song" by Gail Davies (1981)

It was a song from the early or mid 80s with a sort of sorrowful mood.
I only know a few words from the middle of the song , the end of one verse and the beginning of the next.
