I've been chasing the lyrics (and mp3) for this song for a loooong time.


I don't know who is the performer and I think the title is "He's me mate!" The main refrain/chorus goes something like:

"He's as ugly as a bulldog with a migraine,
He's as thick as two short welter-weights,
He's as useless as a mermaid at a buck's do
but he makes me look good, so he's me mate!"

I first heard it in Australia in the mid-80's. I guess you could classify it as folk/country/humour.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
